The school has a qualified nurse who works at all times in the school. Nurses not only help with students’ and staff members’ daily health problems, but also follow up on long term illnesses. A doctor comes to the high school once a week whereby students and staff can consult and obtain prescriptions if need be. A pharmacy is located on main campus or at the main Bilkent shopping area, Ankuva.

All Bilkent staff members are provided with national health insurance at the expense of the school, and also private health insurance through Acıbadem Insurance giving access to hundreds of private hospitals located throughout Turkey. This private insurance pays for 70% of all medical treatment, excluding optician and dental treatments.

With more complicated cases, the help of Bilkent University East Campus Health Centre is sought. Both teacher and student health check-ups, as well as all kinds of medical advice, are provided by this centre. When using these services, teachers need to take their Acıbadem Health Card with them to the Health Centre and pay 30% of any appropriate costs.
